The Pocatello City Council approved two infrastructure contracts on Dec. 4: a task order for water‑system design and a contract to reduce wildfire fuels on the city’s West Bench.
Council authorized Task Order No. 3 with Consular Engineering in the amount of $823,018 to complete final design work for the Indian Hills Force Main project; staff said funding is available in the Water Pollution Control FY26 budget. The motion was moved and seconded and passed by roll call.
The council also accepted the low responsive bid from the firm identified in the packet as 'State and Forestry' for $209,401.50 for the wildfire fuels mitigation project and authorized a contract with that firm. Staff said project funding will come from phase 2 and phase 3 Western States fuel mitigation grants awarded to the city, with the required local match included in the FY26 budget.
Council members moved, seconded and approved both actions in the meeting’s regular business.
