City parks staff briefed the City of Muskego Parks and Conservation Committee on key capital projects planned for 2026–2030, highlighting dredging at the Danube boat launch and a roof replacement at Manchester Park Pavilion.
Staff said a sample from the Danube site tested satisfactorily, a pre-application meeting with the Wisconsin DNR was completed, and a full application is being prepared for submission. If approved, dredging could take place in spring or fall 2026 with staging of dredged material proposed at Denoon Park pending drying and reuse or redistribution.
Staff also listed Manchester Park Pavilion among the larger 2026 items; they plan to solicit multiple bids beginning Jan. 1 when capital funding becomes active and aim to finalize capital requests with the council between August and November after finance review. No final contract awards or dollar amounts were presented at the committee meeting.
