Coos County approves $87,000 state IGA amendment to cover communicable disease program shortfall

Coos County commissioners voted to approve the fourth amendment to an intergovernmental agreement with the Oregon Health Authority, adding about $87,000 to the county’s communicable disease program budget and authorizing Department Head Mike Raley to sign the agreement.

The funding increase, described by a county presenter as "public health funding" that the state "hadn't paid us the full amount, so this is kind of them catching up," was presented as a reconciliation of prior payments rather than a new program expansion.
