Mayor reports fill at Pay Properties 'clean'; additional Ritchie School fill still being tested

During the Dec. 3 meeting, Mayor Lombardi updated the council on soil testing at Pay (Paint) Properties in the Koletti Farms area. He said fill already on site had been tested and determined to be clean. The mayor acknowledged that fill recently brought over from the Ritchie School site remains in testing; the environmental firm Lehi Field, working under Department of Environmental Management (DEM) oversight, is conducting those analyses.

Residents asked whether state records or the DEM certifications would be available; the mayor confirmed the town will obtain and provide written reports and supporting paperwork once testing is complete. Council members asked which environmental firm was performing the work and were told Lehi Field is handling all testing for the two new schools and related fill movements.

Next steps: the town will obtain the Lehi Field reports and distribute them to council members and requesting residents when available.
