ACC reports trial-board outcomes from Sept. 25 hearing; several charges resolved by settlement and discipline

An ACC member summarized results from a Sept. 25 trial board during the Nov. 7 meeting, reporting that four charges were considered and that the matter was resolved through a settlement agreement in at least one case.

The trial-board report listed four charge categories: a body-worn camera violation, an interpretation-of-facts charge, an evidence-violation charge and a failure-to-document charge. The reporter said the evidence-violation and failure-to-document charges produced guilty findings and discipline in the form of a written reprimand and a one-day loss of leave for at least one employee; the interpretation-of-facts charge was recorded as not guilty in that case.

Committee members asked for scheduling details for upcoming trial boards (dates in late November and December were mentioned) and whether trial boards are posted publicly; members were told to check the Baltimore County Police misconduct/trial-board page for posting details. The ACC did not take any additional formal disciplinary votes during the public session; the summary was presented for the committee’s information.

The committee noted three upcoming trial boards scheduled for November 25–26 and December 9 (members asked staff to confirm start times and public posting practices). The ACC asked staff to follow up about public notices for trial-board hearings if members need posting confirmation.

The committee then moved on to scheduling and adjourned.
