Charlie Stringer confirmed to LAHSA commission

The committee approved the mayoral appointment of Charlie (Charles) Stringer to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority commission. Stringer, who described more than 35 years of experience across public, nonprofit and private sectors including legal work for tribes and the EPA and work in impact investing, told the committee he would bring a systems-oriented approach and a commitment to listening to communities. Councilmembers praised his experience in environmental justice and systems work and asked follow-up questions about how he would apply that lens to LAHSA governance. The committee confirmed the appointment by voice/roll call (4 ayes; one member absent).
