Farmers Branch parks board approves minutes, keeps 2024 meetings on Thursdays

Speaker 1 opened the meeting and moved to approve the Sept. 21 meeting minutes as presented; the motion was seconded and the board recorded a vocal affirmative and the chair stated the motion carried.

The board next reviewed proposed 2024 meeting dates. Speaker 1 asked whether members preferred a different weekday; Speaker 3 said the schedule had been built around the third Thursday. After brief discussion the board moved to keep meetings on Thursdays as listed and approved the action by voice vote.

Board members noted they can adjust individual meeting dates on a month-to-month basis if the city council requests earlier input on time-sensitive items. No further formal actions were taken on the schedule.

The meeting adjourned at the end of the agenda following a motion to adjourn and brief member remarks.
