Parks board approves minutes and elects officers; one dissent recorded

During routine business the board considered and approved the minutes from the June 15 meeting. A member moved to approve the minutes, a second was made, and the chair called for the ayes; the motion carried.

Later, the board discussed election of officers for the July 2023–June 2024 term. The chair outlined vice‑chair and secretary responsibilities; nominations were opened. David accepted nomination for vice chair and the board voted to approve that nomination with one member saying "I opposed." Steven accepted nomination for secretary; the motion carried without additional recorded dissent.
