The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada on the morning docket voted to approve stipulated system improvement rates (SIRs) for Great Basin Water Company’s Spring Creek and Pahrump divisions.
Commissioner Cordova presented docket 24-2018 for the Spring Creek division and said the parties had filed a stipulation recommending a stipulated SIR monthly charge of $0.37 per 1,000 gallons that would apply to residential, multi-residential, nonresidential and irrigation customer classes. She recommended the commission accept the stipulation. Cordova then presented docket 24-02023 for the Pahrump division and described three stipulated rates: $0.15 per 1,000 gallons for the Mountain View Estates interconnect project, $0.12 per 1,000 gallons for a SCADA water upgrade (applied to residential, multi-residential, nonresidential and irrigation classes), and $0.02 per 1,000 gallons for the transmission irrigation customer class.
Cordova moved that the commission accept the stipulations and grant the applications as modified by those stipulations; the motions were seconded and the commission voted to approve both items.
The orders adopt the parties’ stipulated SIRs and direct issuance of the appropriate commission orders; the record did not include separate adoption conditions beyond the terms in the stipulations.
The commission did not record any commissioner questions beyond the presentations, and staff offered no further clarifying testimony during the public meeting. The items passed by voice vote.
