PUCN approves NV Energy’s Expanded Solar Access Program with $530,000 annual budget

The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada voted to accept a stipulated Expanded Solar Access Program (ESAP) implementation plan filed jointly by NV Energy and Sierra Pacific Power Company.

Commissioner Brown presented docket 23-12003 and said the parties had reached a stipulation resolving all issues in the docket. The parties agreed to adopt the ESAP plan as set forth in exhibit D, and the stipulation set a $530,000 annual budget for the program. The parties also agreed to a deviation from section 15.1 of the ESAP regulations. Brown said NV Energy will, within 60 days of approval, file detailed components of the program’s annual budget and report any efforts to collaborate with the Nevada Clean Energy Fund.

Brown moved that the commission accept the stipulation, grant the application as delineated by the stipulation and issue the appropriate order; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.
