Morrison County board honors retiring Commissioner Jeff Jaminski after 12 years of service

The Morrison County Board of Commissioners paused its regular business to recognize the retirement of Commissioner Jeff Jaminski, who the board said served the county for 12 years.

Board members from across the dais offered personal tributes to Jaminski, praising his leadership, kindness and steady public service. Commissioner Blaine said the commissioner’s “impact … to Morrison County is really hard to put into words,” and Commissioner LaMaire called Jaminski “one of the hardest and most dedicated public servants I’ve had the privilege to know.”

Jaminski, who spoke near the start of the meeting, thanked fellow commissioners and staff and singled out Administrator Matt and deputy clerk Tabitha for support. He said he had been honored to represent District 2 for four terms and expressed appreciation for the staff and residents who supported him.

Administrator Matt and the board presented a certificate of appreciation and the ceremonial gavel as tokens of recognition. The chair and staff noted a retirement reception would be held later in the day; administrators and commissioners gathered for photographs and brief remarks following the presentation.

The board resumed regular business after the recognition.
