Commission approves consent agenda including grants, contracts and reappointments

The Kalamazoo City Commission approved the consent agenda items read by COO Lam, which included:

- A $51,500 2025 support services agreement with the Foundation For Excellence (FFE).
- A one‑year contract extension with Dale W. Hubbard Inc. ($168,500) for disposal of after‑spoils for water, wastewater and stormwater departments.
- A 2025 renewal with ASU Group for excess workers' compensation premium ($217,107).
- Authorization to submit a FY2025 certified local government grant application to the Michigan State Historic Preservation Office to fund a condition assessment report for city hall’s exterior.
- A Michigan Liquor Control Commission recommendation for a class C resort liquor license for 5155 Portage Road.
- A public utility easement with Bellemeade Condominium Association.
- Multiple reappointments to boards and waivers of rules related to term limits and dual board memberships (board of review reappointments and employee retirement board appointment).

Commissioner Decker moved approval of items 1–7, Vice Mayor Hess supported, and the roll‑call vote carried unanimously.
