Clerk introduces H.869 and notes H.667 and H.725 referred to Appropriations

The Clerk announced there was one house bill for introduction and read H.869 on first reading: "H 869, an act relating to approval of the merger of Brandon Fire District number 1 and Brandon Fire District number 2." Representative Jerome Bridal introduced the bill and it was referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Military Affairs.

The Clerk also noted two bills on the notice calendar that carry appropriations and therefore require referral to a money committee under House Rule 35(a). The first is H.667, an act relating to creation of the Vermont Ireland Trade Commission, and the second is H.725, an act relating to the Human Rights Commission; both were referred to the Committee on Appropriations as announced on the floor.
