The Everett City Legislative Affairs Committee voted on Feb. 26 to forward two nominations to the full City Council: Millie Caddillo for the Board of Assessors and Diane Mullet for the Board of Health. Both nominations received favorable recommendations from the committee and will be scheduled for voice votes at the city council meeting.
Millie Caddillo introduced herself and said she revised her resume for the appointment to highlight real‑estate and mortgage work that required market analysis and understanding assessed values. She told the committee that experience with single‑family homes, condos and VA/FHA loans taught her how assessed values and loan‑to‑value calculations interact with property valuation. A committee member noted that Board of Assessors members must complete coursework to understand assessment responsibilities and said the favorable recommendation assumes the nominee will undertake required training.
Diane Mullet, who identified herself as living at 210 Broadway in Everett, said she holds a master’s degree in nursing and has worked as a nurse since 1991 in both emergency and operating‑room settings. She said she recently moved to Everett in July and that colleagues recommended her for the Board of Health. The committee moved and seconded favorable action and approved forwarding her nomination to the City Council.
Both items were approved by committee voice vote and will appear on the regular City Council agenda for final confirmation.
