Committee discusses nonresident student eligibility and bullying acknowledgment form, recommends no immediate policy changes

The Perkiomen Valley policy committee reviewed policy 202 (eligibility of nonresident students) after Doctor Russell flagged ambiguous wording about when permission may be granted for families who move out of the district near the end of the school year. Committee members noted existing language and other provisions that permit seniors or students in good standing to complete the year without tuition; they concluded a text revision was unnecessary.

Committee members also reviewed bullying/cyberbullying language that aligns with school code and discussed adding an acknowledgment form for students to sign at the start of the year confirming they understand the definition and will avoid bullying peers. Administration said the district has used similar forms in the past and that the idea is feasible; no policy edits were recommended.
