La Grange board approves consent agenda including purchase agreement for new fire pumper

The Village of La Grange Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda, which included a resolution authorizing execution of a purchase agreement with McQueen Equipment LLC for the acquisition of a Pierce Enforcer PUC pumper, an ordinance amending Chapter 78 of the La Grange Code of Ordinances concerning parking schedules, minutes from the Sept. 25, 2023 regular meeting, and two consolidated vouchers.

Clerk Saladino read the consent items into the record. Trustee Augustine announced she recused herself from voting on agenda items related to the village prosecutor. During discussion trustees asked a question about how the fire department determines the expected life of a fire truck (mileage versus years) and whether an older apparatus would be put up for auction.

Trustee Augustine moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; the motion was seconded and the board approved the consent agenda by roll call with all present trustees voting ‘aye.’ The chair declared the motion carried.
