Courthouse renovation progressing; staff expect courtroom may reopen this month

Public Works staff gave a multi-part update on courthouse renovations, building systems and audiovisual readiness. Speaker 3 said technicians have been logging serial numbers, setting up warranty information and configuring control-module graphics; LEDs have been installed in the lower courtroom and HVAC units are operational.

Speaker 3 described remaining tasks including floor repairs in specific offices, final tile and ceiling-tile delivery issues at regional stores, and potential touch-up work once contractors finish. Staff discussed AV and TV setup for the courtroom and noted some cameras and lenses will need cleaning and password reconfiguration before meetings can return upstairs. "If everything falls in place like it should, we'll be in there kinda cool this month," Speaker 3 said.

What’s next: staff will finish cleaning, complete remaining floorwork and coordinate technicians to power and test AV systems before moving meetings back to the courtroom.
