The CareerTech state board moved and approved the mid-year personnel report for Jan. 1–June 30 and ratified a slate of personnel actions after an executive session.
Raquel Farley, identified in the meeting as Human Resource Manager, presented the packet covering departures, transfers, retirements and resignations that occurred during the reporting period. Following discussion and an executive session convened to discuss employment matters, the board returned and the chair moved the following appointments for approval by roll call: Steve Robinson as Federal Grants Compliance Manager (Oklahoma Apex Manager), Glenna Knott as Skills Center Superintendent, Jerry Burnett as Director of Statewide Outreach, Gina Hubbard as Director of Workforce Training, and Max McKnight in the title presented in the packet.
A roll call vote approved the appointments; the board recorded that the Skills Center superintendent position's effective date is July 31 and that the other appointments take effect Aug. 1. The chair stated no actions were taken during the executive session beyond the items listed on the agenda.
The board also approved routine minutes from the June 15, 2023 meeting earlier in the session by a roll call vote.
Next steps: staff will finalize onboarding and administrative paperwork for the newly approved hires; personnel changes will be reflected in agency staffing records.
