Board approves grouped consent items and removes enrollment study from vote

Board members approved numerous grouped consent agenda blocks covering items from procurement and facilities to student activities and finance. The chair repeatedly moved grouped approvals (items 1–22; 23–26; 27–35; 36–39; 40–48; 49–50; 51–52; 53–69; 71–79; 80–96; 97–113; and a revised package of 114–130 excluding item 125 and, after an amendment, excluding 131).

During discussion, members noted a revised motion language for item 129 (forensic audit RFP) and corrections to dollar amounts on items 132–134. A motion to remove item 131 (a demographic/enrollment study) passed after a member moved to remove it and a second; a roll‑call vote was read aloud with multiple 'Yes' votes recorded and one 'No' recorded (Doctor Childs). The chair announced that item 131 was removed and the board then voted to approve the remaining grouped items.

The board also approved payment of bills (item 70) and routine minutes, and accepted treasury reports after motions and seconds were recorded on the floor. Where roll call or voice votes were taken, the transcript records 'Aye' majorities and occasional individual 'No' votes for specific line items.

What happens next: items approved in the consent package will be implemented by administration per normal timelines; item 131 will be considered separately if resubmitted.
