At the April 29 meeting resident Jenna Brennan described frequent, deliberate parking on residential streets near Valley Forge Elementary School to avoid the official pickup line, saying the behavior creates a serious safety concern and could block fire trucks or ambulances between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.
Brennan told the board she has discussed the problem with Valley Forge school principals and other local officials without satisfactory resolution and urged the district to reconsider earlier proposals for a reconstructed entrance that she said might mitigate the problem. She questioned whether the district could delay relying on construction of a new elementary school and instead revisit an entrance reconstruction or other measures sooner.
The board president acknowledged the concern, reminded families of existing drop‑off and pickup procedures and traffic laws, and encouraged continued cooperation among the district, township traffic committees and local police. The president directed interested parties to raise the matter with the Facilities Committee, which the board identified as the forum to reconsider capital and entrance‑reconstruction options.
