Commission schedules site visit after reports of tires, batteries and debris in wetland off Pigeon Road

Commissioners reported observing tires, batteries, traffic cones and other debris placed in a wetland off Pigeon Road and scheduled an on-site inspection for Saturday at 9 a.m.

The chair described the wetland's location (off Green Street, then Holton, then the first right and left into a cul-de-sac) and said the commission had permission from the resident at 10 Pigeon Road to observe from private property. Members discussed availability and agreed to meet at 9 a.m.; staff or a member volunteered to call the homeowner to confirm.

Commissioners also noted a separate cleanup need at 5–7 Capozzi Circle where storm-driven trees had fallen into wetland areas and said they would assess whether that work could be handled quickly or would require additional steps. The commission asked staff to notify the homeowner of the scheduled inspection and to circulate directions and aerial references to members.
