Board signs contract with CBIS to provide compensation consultant work; preliminary results expected in March

Board staff reported that the compensation consultant contract was awarded to CBIS and that a signed contract is in place. Staff and CBIS held an introductory Teams call and said CBIS would request preliminary information from the board and schedule a kickoff meeting. "They anticipate about an 8 week timeline," staff said, and indicated preliminary results should be available by March to support the board's June review cycle.

The board discussed how staff and consultant work will feed into deliberations on market and peer comparisons and possible changes to compensation structures. Staff said CBIS will examine peer data and provide ranges and midpoints to help the board evaluate options.
