The Middletown Township Board of Supervisors voted to grant preliminary and final land‑development approval for an addition to the Oxford Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center after hearing a presentation from the applicant’s engineering team and township staff.
Brian Spray of Civil & Environmental Consultants described a one‑story, 7,100‑square‑foot addition that will sit over an existing stormwater management basin; the addition will be supported on columns to avoid disturbing the basin and will route stormwater to a new underground courtyard facility that then discharges to the existing basin. Applicant representatives said they paused after concerns from residents and met with the township engineer to identify mitigation measures; the team submitted a revised response letter and said outstanding comments are limited to paperwork and will be addressed.
Township engineering staff confirmed a memorandum dated Feb. 27, 2024 outlines items the applicant agreed to address for the wider neighborhood’s stormwater issues and that no variances are required for the preliminary/final submission. The board made a motion to approve the preliminary and final land‑development plan with conditions: full compliance with subdivision and zoning ordinances, resolution of outstanding review comments and adherence to the township engineer’s stormwater recommendations.
The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. No public objections were recorded during the vote.
