The Neshaminy School District Board of School Directors voted 9–0 to elect Jason M. Bowman as district superintendent for a five‑year term beginning July 1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2029, and approved the District Superintendent Employment Agreement as prepared by the district solicitor.
The motion to approve the appointment and the employment agreement was placed on the floor, seconded, and passed unanimously. The board’s motion cites compliance with the Pennsylvania Public School Code as amended.
Bowman addressed the board after the vote, thanking members for the opportunity and describing his long ties to the district. He said he and his wife, Denise, graduated from the district and that they have raised their two sons in Neshaminy. "It really is a true honor and a privilege to serve the community and school district where I grew up," Bowman said, adding he looks forward to working with the board, staff and community to address challenges and build on district strengths.
The board did not record conditions attached to the agreement in the meeting transcript. The board president authorized execution of the agreement by the board president and secretary as presented at the meeting.
The appointment follows an earlier executive session the board said had addressed labor negotiations, confidential employment matters and employment litigation.
