The Neshaminy School Board unanimously approved a set of routine but consequential administrative and personnel items, voting 9–0 on a revised 2023–24 school calendar, the appointment of a treasurer for the remainder of the school year, an acting assistant principal appointment, and a master consent motion covering multiple leaves, retirements and appointments.
Board action on the calendar (agenda item 2.02) affirmed that the last scheduled day for students and teachers will remain June 14, 2024, and designated June 12, 2024, as Neshaminy High School graduation day. A board member moved the calendar revision and it passed by voice vote.
On agenda item 2.03 the board appointed Deborah Clayhold, the district business administrator, to serve as treasurer for the rest of the 2023–24 school year after the resignation of the previously appointed treasurer, Donald B. Erwin Jr. The motion was moved and passed 9–0.
The board also approved administrative appointments (agenda item 2.04), including naming James Kelly to replace Colin Trickle as acting assistant principal at the high school; that motion was seconded and passed 9–0. Following that, the board adopted a master motion covering items 2.05–2.13: administrative leaves of absence; certificated retirements and resignations; certificated appointments and leaves; support retirements and appointments; and support leaves. Several long‑service staff members were recognized during the vote, including employees noted in the meeting with 16 to 31 years of service.
All votes on these agenda items were recorded as passing on a 9–0 voice vote. The board also advanced four policies to first reading (agenda item 2.14) and listed routine business items slated for approval at the upcoming public board meeting, including the 2022–23 audit acceptance and contracted services.
