The district superintendent reported a strong turnout at the annual STEAM Expo at Neshaminy High School and thanked organizers, staff and community partners for creating hands‑on opportunities that showcase the school district’s science, technology, engineering, arts and math programs.
The superintendent highlighted April as Autism Awareness Month and described energetic assemblies led by autism advocate Ben Hartranft, noting that his appearances at elementary schools this year will expand to middle and high schools next year.
The superintendent also announced that two Giant Supermarket stores donated $15,211.78 to the district. The funds, raised through customer round‑up contributions over the past three months, will be used to support school food pantries and other student food‑support programs intended to address food insecurity among district students. "This money will be used to help our school food pantries and for other food support programs that benefit our students," the superintendent said during the report.
The report also included routine acknowledgments and a staff retirement notice for the superintendent’s secretary, accepted effective July 1.
