Representatives at the Neshaminy SD meeting announced the application timeline for Bucks County Technical High School and provided community updates from the Neshaminy Education Foundation (NEF).
A technical school representative told the board the application process for Bucks County Technical High School will open Nov. 27 and run through Dec. 1; applications must be dropped off in person by a parent at the tech school. An open house is scheduled for Nov. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m., and a lottery to allocate seats is scheduled for Dec. 14 at 9 a.m. in the tech school auditorium; families will receive written notification of acceptance by mid-March.
Separately, the NEF reported that over 400 students participated in a districtwide "castle ball" tournament fundraiser (each student donated $5), and that the NEF Eagles ticket raffle was the most successful to date; the raffle winner, Rich Valor, was acknowledged. NEF also announced an alumni achievement award ceremony on Nov. 20 featuring several honorees including Dr. Matthew Claus, Senator Frank Farry and others.
The district and NEF invited community members to the NEF board meeting on Nov. 13 and reminded families about the technical school open house and application deadlines.
No board action was required on these announcements.
