Eastern Summit advisory panel elects new chair and vice chair for 2024

The Eastern Summit County Agriculture Preservation and Open Lands Advisory Committee elected new officers during its Jan. 11 meeting, naming Clint as chair and Terry as vice chair.

A member nominated Clint for chair; the nomination was seconded and the committee voted unanimously to confirm him. For vice chair, Terry nominated themself and was confirmed by voice vote. Members noted that several committee terms are expiring and that staff will contact members to reapply; Dakota Giants is leaving the committee and a replacement will be sought.

Committee leadership changes are annual and procedural. Staff said reapplication notices and vacancy recruitment will be handled by county staff to restore quorum reliability and continued committee functioning.
