Leaders from member municipalities provided brief community updates during the June 20 Council of Governments meeting.
Francis reported that development has slowed and said a grant‑funded bike park and natural play area are planned for Wild Willow with construction targeted for later this year. Oakley reported continued work on a city‑center development and a municipal well drilling project (drilling reached about 500 feet as of the report) and said a subdivision of roughly 15 homes is proposed on a 19‑acre parcel near Polar King. Park City officials described a hard‑hat tour of a new 3 Kings water‑treatment plant expected to come online this summer to meet a Department of Water Quality order; Park City also said it will propose a $30 million general‑obligation recreation bond on the November ballot to fund an indoor pickleball facility.
Other municipalities described secondary‑water system projects, sandbag availability after flooding, RAP‑tax support for rodeo‑ground improvements and fencing, and planned July Fourth celebrations. Several communities noted that water and drainage projects remain priorities and that they will coordinate with county staff on grant and funding opportunities.
