Planning commission approves Promontory Vista Pointe plat amendment

The Eastern Summit County Planning Commission on April 6 approved a plat amendment for Promontory Vista Pointe that relocates one lot and adjusts adjacent open-space areas, staff said.

AC, the county planner presenting the item, told the commission the amendment moves Lot 35 and redesignates the previous Lot 35 area as Open Space D while retaining the required open-space acreage overall. Staff recorded one technical comment from the recorder office about back-of-street lot lines but concluded the changes still met open-space requirements.

With no public comment at the hearing, a commissioner moved to approve the amendment "according to findings of fact, conclusions of law and conditions of approval," the chair said, and the body voted in favor.

The approval was procedural: staff recommended the amendment, the commission found no net loss of open space and moved the item forward under the conditions in the staff report. The commission did not identify additional substantive conditions in the public discussion.

The commission will file the formal findings and conditions in the project record as required by county procedure.
