The Summit County Council voted unanimously to adopt Ordinance 9‑60, approving a zoning boundary interpretation tied to recently amended subdivision plats in the Silver Creek Commerce Center and the Gilmore subdivision. Staff reported that the Transportation Department completed right‑of‑way adjustments related to the Silver Summit interchange and that the Planning Commission approved the plat amendments on July 2; the county’s agreement with Marketplace requires the county to process a zoning boundary interpretation once plat boundaries change.
Under the ordinance, the portion of Lot 10 added to the Marketplace subdivision will be zoned Community Commercial; the portion of Lot 1 in the Gilmore subdivision will be zoned Rural Residential. Council considered the staff report, moved and seconded the ordinance adoption and the motion carried unanimously.
The council did not amend the staff findings; the ordinance adoption completes the zoning change required to align zoning with recorded subdivision boundaries. The council meeting record shows the motion passed with all members present voting in the affirmative.
