At its March 14 meeting the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission took the following formal actions:
- Hidden Cove plat amendment (Lot 15 split/absorption into adjacent lots): Motion to approve carried 7–0. Staff said the split addresses an existing encroachment where a portion of a structure crosses the property line and recommended approval with findings and conditions in the staff report.
- Glenwild Phase 2 plat amendment (combine Lots 158 and 159 into one lot): Motion to approve carried 7–0. Staff noted an architectural review committee letter is on file and that a plat note limiting livable area to 15,000 square feet is carried on the recorded plat. Commissioners also discussed whether the $2,000 per‑lot school contribution plat note applies when a lot is absorbed and asked Building Department staff for clarification after the meeting.
- Winter Sports School Phase 2 conditional use permit amendment (10,000‑sq‑ft expansion, amphitheater): Motion to approve carried 6–0 with 1 abstention (a commissioner disclosed board membership with the school and abstained). Staff said Phase 2 proposes a maximum of about 60 students and that traffic and engineering review did not require a new traffic study for this phase. Public comment urged including traffic mitigation triggers in the CUP.
- Silver Creek / FJ Gilmore plat amendment (3.22 acres to Lot 10; 0.12 acres to Lot 1) and related zoning‑boundary adjustment recommendation: The commission approved the plat amendment 7–0 and unanimously recommended the County Council align zone boundaries with the amended plat. Commissioners requested that commentary asking the Council to consider defining commercial density be included with the transmittal.
All approvals were made pursuant to findings of fact, conclusions of law and conditions of approval as contained in the staff reports. Staff follow‑up includes recording amended plats and forwarding the zoning‑boundary recommendation and commission commentary to County Council.
