Park City Hospital outlines $5M in community benefit, seeks council acknowledgement

Laurie Weston, CEO of Park City Hospital, presented the hospital’s community benefit summary and charitable gift documentation required for its tax‑exempt status. Weston said the hospital delivered nearly $3M in charity care cases in 2022 and contributes about $5M annually in community services, education and outreach. She also described clinical and telehealth expansions and emphasized partnerships with local organizations to address social determinants of health.

Council members asked procedural questions about documentation and the board of equalization process; staff and the hospital agreed to provide the signed materials for the county record so the council and the clerk would have formal documentation of the gift and community benefit.
