The Edgerton City Council on April 15 approved a package of routine municipal actions, including construction, event permitting and a financing-related resolution.
Council members voted to approve a change order for the Quigley Street street and utility improvement project. The council also authorized payment of bills and payroll totaling $240,630.40. On the capital side, the council approved moving forward with project design and construction estimating for the Veterans Park Shelter and authorized $10,800 to Sila and Sons, to be funded from the city’s contingency fund.
The council approved a contract with Art Solar for a solar installation project and adopted a resolution described in the meeting as declaring the city’s official intent to reimburse expenditures for a SCADA upgrade project.
Event approvals included the Edgerton Lions Club July 3 fireworks event packet with a waiver of associated fees and a temporary Class B beer license for the Lions Club. Council also approved a separate Lions Club event packet for a 'Derby for Diabetes.' Council members discussed scheduling overlaps between weekend soccer games and event staging and tasked staff to coordinate with organizers.
All of the foregoing motions were made, seconded and approved by roll call during the meeting; the meeting minutes record the motions as passed without recorded dissent.
The council indicated procurement, permits and routine capital planning will continue through normal administrative steps; several items referenced contingency funding or grant-dependent timing, and staff will bring follow-up details to future meetings.
