Rising Sun reappoints ethics board member and two zoning appeals members

The Mayor and Board of Commissioners approved two reappointments during the July 2022 meeting: Resolution 2022‑13 reappointing Andrew Snyder to the town ethics board until June 30, 2025, and Resolution 2022‑14 reappointing Joe Scaliak (term to June 30, 2024) and Skip Yust (term to June 30, 2025) to the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Town Administrator Calvin A. Vonnenberg Jr described the purpose of the ethics board and Board of Zoning Appeals, noting that members’ terms had expired and that the mayor and commissioners wished to reappoint the incumbents. "What you have in front of you here now is resolution 2022‑13 titled town ethics board reappointment," he said when introducing the ethics‑board resolution.

A motion to approve each resolution was made and seconded, and the board approved both by voice vote. The minutes record brief thanks from the mayor to the reappointed members for their willingness to serve. No public comment was recorded on either reappointment.
