Officials listed upcoming town hall closures and holidays that will affect trash, recycling and yard-waste pickup, including Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 16), Presidents Day (Feb. 20), Good Friday (April 7) and Memorial Day (May 29). The next regular town meeting was set for Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall; the mayor noted he expects to be in Annapolis and unavailable to attend.
A community announcement noted the Maryland Department of Natural Resources’ Arbor Day poster contest for fifth graders; the speaker said first-place schools receive 15 trees, second place 10 trees and third place 5 trees and gave a Jan. 20 submission deadline. Viewers were directed to contact town hall with questions.
