Crockett council appoints Gerald Culture as public works director

The Crockett City Council voted to appoint Gerald Culture as the city’s public works director following a nomination by a council member and a second from another member.

Speaker 5 told the council the position has been unfilled at the director level since 2017 and described gaps left by the recent resignation of the operations superintendent. Speaker 5 said Culture has worked for the city since 2018 after retiring from TxDOT and recommended him to fill the post.
