The council took several additional actions and heard routine reports on Feb. 21.
Resolution 2022‑07: Staff recommended authorizing resolution 2022‑07 to allow the city to sign settlement agreements in opioid‑related litigation involving Collegium Pharmaceutical. Staff estimated Lock Haven’s net share at about $6,000. Council voted to authorize executing the settlement documents.
Reports and announcements: Staff presented the Pennsylvania PUC final inspection results for a local railroad crossing and circulated a DCNR letter about timbering in the broader watershed area; staff said they observed no direct city impacts and forwarded the DCNR notice to the city authority for comment.
PennDOT paving: Public works summarized PennDOT’s 2022 paving plan for state and local routes and noted the need to adjust manholes where PennDOT adds a two‑inch fill approaching Constitution Bridge.
Skatepark community meeting: Staff reported more than 200 responses to a skatepark survey and announced an in‑person feedback meeting with American Ramp Company on March 15 (5–7 p.m.) at the local YMCA to gather public input on designs and funding approaches.
Next steps: Staff will execute the authorized settlement paperwork, continue coordination on timber and paving items with state agencies and host public outreach for the skatepark design.
