Lock Haven council approves banners for local events and multiple park permits

The Lock Haven City Council voted unanimously to approve event banners and a set of park permits at its regular meeting.

Councilers approved Resolution 2022‑19 permitting a banner for “Relife for Life of Clinton County,” tied to a race on May 14, with an installation window beginning May 5. Council then approved Resolution 2022‑20 to allow a Ross Library book‑sale banner from Sept. 1 through Sept. 18. Both resolutions were moved, seconded and carried after individual roll‑call responses in which each member present answered “Yes.”

The council also approved three park and event requests as a single group: the YMCA’s use of Coconut Park on June 3 for an Intro to Wellness event (5:30–7:30 p.m.), a wedding ceremony at Signal Park on Sept. 10, 2022, and a request from Josh Woods of the Highway Safety Network to install geocaches at Hannah Park, Memorial Park, and around the station art gallery. The three permits were moved and seconded and passed on the same unanimous voice/roll‑call vote.
