Pickens County appoints Jenny Aronson to Board of Health through 2027

The Pickens County Board of Commissioners voted to appoint Jenny Aronson to fill a vacancy on the Pickens County Board of Health, Chair announced on April 15.

Chair said the seat opened after the death of Margie, who had served on the Board of Health, and that Jenny Aronson had expressed willingness to serve and met the qualifications. Chair noted Aronson’s local involvement (including animal‑shelter work). The board moved to approve the resolution appointing Jenny Aronson to serve through Dec. 31, 2027; members approved the motion by voice vote.

Chair also noted the Board of Health conducts certain functions such as dangerous‑dog hearings. The appointment was accepted during the meeting and the board expressed appreciation for Aronson’s willingness to serve.
