West Bend BID keeps landscaping line in budget; chair marks final meeting

After the failed vote on the amended Scott's Landscaping authorization, the West Bend BID board returned to its financial report and approved the budget as originally presented, which includes a $30,000 allocation for routine landscaping.

City staff (Speaker 3) explained the revised-column proposal that accompanied the earlier motion and noted where the landscaping amount sits in the published financial materials. A board member moved to approve the budget as presented and the motion carried.

Later in the meeting Speaker 1 announced that April 2 was their last BID meeting, thanked members and staff for years of service and highlighted accomplishments including contributions toward the Main Street reconstruction and the Riverwalk project. Several board members offered appreciation and personal remarks acknowledging the departing chair's tenure.

With the budget approved and the chair's remarks closed, the board concluded the session and asked staff to continue coordinating next steps on downtown planting and maintenance options.
