The Muskego City Library Board on Jan. 16 approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes of the Dec. 19, 2023 meeting and the library’s December financial statements.
The motion to approve was made by the library director (speaker 1) and seconded by another member (speaker 2). Chair (speaker 3) called for the voice vote; the director verbally responded “Aye” and the chair declared the motion passed.
Board members asked a few clarifying questions during the consent-item discussion, including where a new public computer (referred to in packet notes as the OUI computer) would be sited and whether grant funding would cover related costs. Director (speaker 1) said the new computer will be set up next to the existing unit, includes after-school-focused content for older elementary students, and that the purchase is covered by grant funds already in hand.
Before moving on, the board discussed signage for the building; the director said new signage designs remain in progress. No amendments to the minutes or financials were recorded during the vote.
The board proceeded to the director’s report after approving the consent agenda.
