The Barron County Board of Supervisors on May 20 approved two rezoning requests, an ordinance designating additional county highway segments as ATV/UTV routes and a package of reorganization appointments.
The board approved the rezoning in the Town of Chetek for Oak Grove Chetek LLC after a motion by Supervisor Cook, seconded by Supervisor Heller. The measure passed with a roll call of 28 yes and 1 absent.
A second rezoning in the Town of Clinton for Synergy Community Cooperative passed after a motion by Supervisor Rogers and a second from Supervisor Guseluk; the vote was recorded as 28 yes, 1 absent.
On the ATV/UTV ordinance, the chair said the highway commissioner provided amended verbiage and that the sheriff’s office and highway department supported the change. Supervisor Mullins moved the ordinance, seconded by Supervisor Anderson; the motion carried, 28 yes, 1 absent.
The board also approved combined reorganization appointments (items 14A–C) on a single motion by Supervisor Hansen, seconded by Supervisor Thompson. That motion carried 28 yes, 1 absent.
Board members raised no substantive public comments or extended debate on these items. The chair explained that some postings and ordinance language had been corrected in advance of the meeting. The approved actions will be reflected in county records and the clerk’s office.
