Board hires Donovan Group to lead 4–6 month Janesville Way Forward strategic planning process

The Janesville School District Board of Education approved hiring the Donovan Group to lead the district's "Janesville Way Forward" strategic planning process.

Committee chair Hulsman told the board the selection followed two committee meetings, interviews with three potential partners and a unanimous committee recommendation to choose the Donovan Group. He said the Donovan Group proposed a 4–6 month engagement that includes stakeholder input and a workshop model. "If the board did, decide to approve our agreement, we would have an opportunity to meet with the Donovan Group in a workshop model, next board meeting," Hulsman said.

A motion to approve the recommendation was made and seconded; the board approved the selection by voice vote, recorded as 9–0. The district will follow up with the Donovan Group on workshop timing and stakeholder outreach, as described in meeting materials.
