MPO elects Judith McLeod Froman as vice chair; Harold Mitchell steps down

The Cape Cod Metropolitan Planning Organization on a recorded roll call vote elected Judith McLeod Froman as its new vice chair after longtime vice chair Harold Mitchell declined reappointment.

Mitchell told members he plans to step down from the vice chair role and nominated Froman, citing her experience. Froman said she would accept the position. Kevin Galligan seconded the nomination, and Phil carried out a roll-call vote; members present voted to appoint Froman.

The council thanked Mitchell for his service to both the MPO and the Cape Cod Commission. The action was procedural: the chair called for nominations, a member formally moved and a second was made, and the MPO completed a roll-call vote to confirm the appointment.

The appointment will take effect immediately and board leadership changes will be reflected in MPO materials and meeting notices going forward.
