State ethics training platform to requires MPO members to complete county‑edition modules

Steve Tupper (Cape Cod Commission staff) briefed MPO members on a new state-hosted ethics training process they will be required to complete.

Tupper said members will receive an email from the State Ethics Training Commission with a link to the new system and instructions to create an account. He emphasized that MPO participants should select the "county employee edition" option in the system so the training covers the county-level position relevant to their MPO membership. The training is modular and takes roughly an hour to complete; completion and the required acknowledgment will be recorded automatically by the system and will not require members to submit separate certificates to Commission staff.

Members have 30 days to complete the modules; the system will require repeat training on a two‑year cycle. Tupper offered to assist members with technical or situational questions, for example where members hold multiple positions that may require different ethics filings or training tracks.
