Council moves to order new dock for Tuxedo boat launch after resident requests

During the May 20 work session, councilmember Gary (speaker identified in roll call) summarized resident interest in installing a dock at the Tuxedo boat launch and recommended a more durable, higher-cost dock rather than the aluminum rolling units some vendors offer.

Gary said five residents had called to request a dock and recommended spending more for a robust, long-lasting product. The mayor supported acquiring the dock this year and removing it from the park dedication fund. After brief discussion of parking constraints at the launch, staff agreed to place an order and bring back documentation at the June 3 meeting to formalize the purchase.
