The Minnetrista City Council approved a multi-item consent agenda that included meeting minutes, resolutions on claims and bond prepayment, agreements for arbitrage services, an extension for the Highlands at Whale Tail Lake preliminary plat, a professional-services agreement for pavement coring, a well No. 6 rehabilitation resolution, a public-safety fund budget amendment, a variance extension at 6705 Halsted Avenue, a joint-powers agreement with Hennepin County for embedded social-worker services, public-works truck replacement and personnel revisions.
Public-works staff also presented plans and specifications for a West Branch culvert replacement (north-central city near Sunnyfield). Staff said the budget included $50,000 for storm infrastructure and the current estimate is below that number. Council authorized distribution of quote packages to five contractors, with quotes due May 13 and an anticipated council award discussion on May 20.
Votes and procedure: The council approved the consent agenda and the culvert-quote authorization on oral voice votes. Mayor Lisa Whalen confirmed staff will present financing and award recommendations at the May 20 meeting for any large capital items arising from the consent items or business-session motions.
