ACDPN elects officers, appoints chair to handle floodplain review duties

Dominic Barrienti was nominated and confirmed as chair at the ACDPNorganizational meeting on Jan. 16, where the board also completed its officer slate for the year.

The board approved Theresa as treasurer and confirmed a mayoral nominee as secretary; Rebecca Smith was nominated, seconded and approved as vice chair. The board recorded roll-call votes for each confirmation and accepted the officer slate.

During officer appointments the board voted to authorize the chair to act as acting executive director for limited floodplain review duties related to the agencyzoning/flood-control code (referenced on the record as code 148). The motion to delegate that limited authority was moved, seconded and carried by roll call with ayes recorded from members present.

Board members also discussed administrative steps that follow officer changes, including updating signature cards and taking steps to change authorized signatories at the bank. The board agreed to coordinate on changing signatures promptly.

The meeting proceeded to committee assignments and other annual housekeeping after the officer confirmations. The board did not record any dissent to the officer appointments or to the delegation of floodplain review authority.
