Committee clears workforce licensing bill to prevent local licensing requirements

House Bill 1460 was presented as the "workforce freedom act," intended to create a uniform state standard for occupational licenses and prevent cities or municipalities from imposing additional licensing requirements beyond state requirements. The sponsor said the bill grew from a licensing task force and that the municipal league had reviewed the language; he told the committee there was no known opposition.
